Rebecca Ellen creates beautiful wallpaper and artwork by combining print with embroidery. Taking on a very illustrative approach, the embroidery incorporated in each piece suggests a sensitivity, which is met with a fun array of colours. The designs portray their own identity as stories unravel through stitch.

Born in Mid Wales, Rebecca Ellen finds much inspiration from all over Britain. It could be the astonishing Welsh scenery, urban architecture or even simple snaps of a road sign or electric pylon.

By creating imaginative and wonderful compositions with everyday objects, Rebecca Ellen shows how the ‘norm’ can appear spectacular.  

The interaction that the designer has with the paper is massively increased through embroidery, allowing the wallpaper lengths to convey a strong visual impact.
