Blogmas Day 4 | Shop Small
Shop Small : THE 2017 list
Saturday 2nd December was 'Small Business Saturday', I absolutely LOVE supporting small businesses, individual artists or crafters. There is so much made en masse that it's so refreshing to me to explore what other creatives have to offer. Instagram is alive with small businesses and I am in awe everyday of all they do to keep their little businesses ticking over, usually around families and often around a full time job to pay the bills. Let's support them! Here are a few to help with your Christmas shopping, but I could have included so many more so expect more of these posts in the future!
For the Home | Sew this Space
I discovered this lovely brand at the Frome Independent Market, unfortunately they just had the last market of the year but Becs and her wonderful creations can be found on etsy. There are so many awesome designs with something for everyone - the perfect gift for someone's home and a little bit different. Embroidery Hoops are on average £20.
The Girls Slogan Tee | Mutha.Hood
If you're a mum on Instagram then I've no doubt that you've come across the wonderful Gemma behind Mutha.Hood. Her Instagram stories are worth a mention all of their own, but as this post is about shopping then I think you should know just how great her merch is. You will find the perfect gift for the women in your life and they don't have to be a mum. My favourite picks are this 'Solidarité Feminine' tee (modelled above by yours truly), her 'Strong Girls Club' Tee (available in mini too so you can match with your baby girls) and any of her very cool pins. She does jewellery too so go take a look!
The Food Gift | Lady Bakewell Park
There are no words to describe how cool these biscuits are from Lady Bakewell Park, her Instagram is full of these marble iced beauties with slogans, quotes and lyrics. What a cool gift and there are options to personalise. A gift box of biscuits is around £20.
The Cool Subscription | The Happy Newspaper
This is just such a lovely thing, Emily started The Happy News in 2015 with a k=Kickstarter campaign 'to celebrate all that's good in the world.' You can buy previous issues on her website or buy a subscription - the paper comes out quarterly. If you don't fancy subscribing to the paper then just follow Emily all over social media because she is a breath of bright shiny yellow fresh air. ☀️
The Children | J J Park
JJ Park's clothes are just adorable. Absolutely gorgeous clothes and outstanding quality. If you received the Christmas brochure for Not on the High Street you may have spotted one of JJ's Dino Jumpsuits in the gifts for kids section, her jumpsuits are by far some of my fav pieces, as well as her gorgeous Lion leggings and scrumptious knee high socks - perfect for baby rolls. My daughter loves bunnies so for her first birthday she got this bunny T-shirt above (photo by my talented sister in law) and some beautiful bunny pom pom leggings, the service I received was outstanding. It took a little longer than anticipated so JJ insisted on gifting us some of her aforementioned socks. Sold! Check out her lovely things for the tiddlers in your life.
